A strong commitment to both graphic and sculptural techniques has manifested in an ongoing series of screenprinted ‘Helmets.’ Provided with instructions for use, the wearer can construct the seemingly flat abstract shapes into specific spaces for directed conversations and facilitated interactions between oneself and others. For example a Helmet for Telling Secrets is easily worn to mimic the gesture of putting a hand up to cover ones mouth by providing a ‘mouth shield’ so ‘no words will get lost in the exchange.’

The ongoing Paper Helmets series is represented here in three different temporary helmets. These come flat as Fine Art Screen Prints and can be cut out, folded, and worn by the individual as temporary devices that the help conditions and side effects of modern living and strange behaviors. The title of each is actually it's suggested use.
